Our Purpose
The purpose of the “Jazeera Mas Race” tournament is to strengthen the unity and togetherness among the community. While increasing youth participation and encourage younger generation to participate in more outdoor activities. It will likewise promote a festive atmosphere with a high focus on socializing.
The “Jazeera Mas Race” Fishing tournament is held at Maradhoo, located on the western side of Addu City, which is the southernmost atoll of the Maldives. The island is the major hub for fishing activities in Addu City.
Jazeera Mas Race 2020
This was the first fishing tournament held in Addu City under its name, which was open for all type of fishing. The first edition of the tournament in 2020 was a huge success with 16 teams competing for the title.
Jazeera Mas Race 2021 – 13th November
The Second edition of the tournament in 2021 was held on 13Th November with 11 teams competing for the title.
This tournament was opened for Jigging and Popping only. Catch and release rules applied for GT. Rod & Reels and Artificial Lures were only allowed to use for fishing.
Jazeera Mas Race 2022 – Upcoming
In 2022 there will be 2 tournaments opened internationally. We are excited to welcome teams from over the world.
The dates for the tournament will be announced in early 2022.
